Coachella Weekend 1 - Trends & Best Dressed

Updated: Apr 23, 2019

With over 125,000 people in attendance, it has been another year to remember for Coachella… so far. With Weekend 1 over, Weekend 2 goers have a chance to glance to the past weekend for style inspo while preparing their festival looks. Earth Tones, Western Fringe, Neon, and Boho-chic were the top themes and trends for the first days of the festival.

Many attendees were decked out in fringe skirts and even belts with fringe hanging down in the sides and back, mainly worn on top of bikini bottoms or shirts. Black was the most worn color in fringe, while there were a few cowboy-esque looks in tan and brown. Fringe, when paired with layered necklaces, hats, buckle belts, and cowboy boots, was simply everywhere, making Western a very popular trend for the first Weekend. White cowboy boots of mid, under the knee length, were the most popular footwear choice with the bolder attendees even going for thigh-high length.

Earth tones were one of the trendiest color choices during the recent fashion weeks, so the festival season has followed the lead. Tans, Champagnes, Brown Suede and Fringes were what made up this color palette. A lot of the earth tones were also seen on the animal prints. Many festival-goers wore cheetah print and cow prints in the form of dresses, boots, and accessories.

Subtle blush tones, pretty shades of pink were seen around the festival as well- in co-ords, monochromatic outfits, dresses, and even ruffles.

Neon has made a huge come back recently – no surprise it made its way to the festival trends list as one of the most popular color choices which were all over this past weekend. Neon greens and pinks were the ones most seen. Many festival goers were in head-to-toe neon, and some chose to use a little pop of bright accent for their look.

Here are some of the most outstanding looks from the field that match the trends.
