Street Style from Paris Fashion Week 19/20

Updated: Jan 25, 2019

Fashionistas from all around the world were gathered here in Paris all throughout last week to witness the much-awaited Fall-Winter 19/20 collections of various designers, right from Virgil Abloh’s tribute to Michael Jackson for Louis Vuitton, to Hedi Slimane’s debut for Celine with geometric art. While the designers were busy introducing new trends for the upcoming winter season on the runways at some of the city’s best spots, the influencers outside the shows weren’t shying away from showing us how it’s done on the streets. Let’s look at some of the street style trends!

Pop of Colour

Even though the week saw temperatures in single digits and a sky that was almost always grey, the guests at each show sure knew how to brighten up a dull day with these colourful jackets, accessories in warm colour tones.

Patch It Up

A new trend that we saw and loved was colourful patches on the back of jackets. Not only were they super cool and chic, but also very practical – a perfect way to stand apart in the crowd, even in the cold.

One Step Ahead

They say a woman never has enough shoes, but it’s also true when it comes to men. This week we saw a variety of sneakers out on the streets, from NIKE, Jordan’s and Converse’s to Balenciaga’s and Off White’s.

We also noticed a few trends carried over from London, Florence and Milan - the plaids and the checks, the colour orange-red and loose flowy silhouettes teamed with finely tailored pieces - to name a few.

We’re now moving on to Paris Couture Week. Watch this space to know what exquisite trends await us!
